INTRODUCING: SPEAKERFY! This very first version of Speakerfy plays music across all of your Android, iOS devices and Windows PCs… all in sync!

Be the first one of your friends to start “Speakerfying” your music and we promise we won’t disappoint as we add many more killer features in the near future. Plus, we always love hearing your feedback so please contact us if you have any ideas on the limitless capabilities of Speakerfy.
HOW IT WORKS Just make sure you’re on the same WiFi network as your friends, and Speakerfy any song on your device! Don’t have a WiFi network around you? Just enable your Personal Hotspot on your Smartphone or Tablet and become the hit of the party! Keep in mind, you don’t need ANY cloud access for Speakerfy to work, it’s all done via proximity!
HELP If you’re all on the same WiFi network and it’s still not working, it’s probably because some WiFi networks have advanced Security Settings that don’t allow data streaming. You either have to change those settings or join a different network.

Easily find and play MP3 music on devices running Android 2.3.3 to 4.3. Media Store MP3 Player is offered by Jonathan Drever. Last Updated: September 29, 2013. Current Version: 1.0.2
This app is designed for music lovers or DJ’s with a large (ideally tagged and organised) MP3 music collection. The app will run on a variety of devices, including phones, tablets and multimedia boxes, running Android versions between 2.3.3 and 4.3. The user interface is simple and allows music to be selected and played quickly and effortlessly. A feature of the app, is that it does not try to scan and categorize your music based on ID3 tags. Many apps try to do this and cause the device to hang or crash when cataloguing large music collections. Instead, you simply point the app at files or folders on the internal storage, external SD Card or USB media device and the app can add that music and/or any files found recursively to the current playlist. Playlists can then be saved and re-loaded, as required. The app can be customised for the user in many ways, some of these features are listed below.
The app was developed with the intention that it would be installed on a USB capable device. Many current and older devices do not support this by default and need to be rooted for admin privileges, which would then allow USB storage to be mounted. The app will still work on devices that do not have these facilities however.

The aim of this project, was to introduce the developer to the main concepts of Android. The software utilises the Android Support Library (v4) to enable a consistent approach to developing a user interface across a wide range of Android versions. The software was written and tested within a tight time frame, but if you find the app useful, or would like to see additional features, or existing features improved, feel free to contact the developer with suggestions.
Currently tested on devices running the following operating systems:
